Most Americans seeking consular services in Poland turn to the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw or the Consulate General in Krakow. There is, however, one other source of assistance to U.S. citizens: the Consular Agency in Poznan.

Located at Ul. Paderewskiego 8, 61-760 Poznan [telephone (061) 851-8516] the Consular Agency is the successor to the U.S. Consulate General there, which closed in 1995. The Agency is an American presence in Wielkopolska and the west of Poland, providing limited consular services for American citizens in that area.

(Remember that U.S. citizens are obliged to file returns on income they earn anywhere in the world, even if they are not obliged to pay taxes on it).
